Enhancing Education Through Technology Grant Training - ESD Training on 3/10/09
- New EETT grants are due March 31 and the state will fund most, if not all of the grants that are turned in that qualify.
- If you are planning to turn this grant in make sure you get your signatures (principal, Ron, and Brian)
- The winners will be announced on April 15.
- New 21st century grant for individual teachers to apply for that will be available next week and will be due in April.
- The purpose for this grant is to move teachers from Tier 1 to Tier 2, or Tier 2 to Tier 3.
- Components of the grant will be training in Marzano's Instructional Strategies and Understanding By Design (UBD) along with funding for equipment that matches the goals of the grant.
- Training will be required and will be 3 days in the summer (Vancouver, Everett, Yakima, or Spokane) and 2 additional days during the school year.
- In the current state budget the Ed Tech centers at each ESD are not funded, this will have an impact on the instructional technology offerings from our ESD.

- This site allows people to do web conferencing, collaborative documents, desktop sharing.
- Accounts are free for up to 20 connected users. It is paid for by adds, but has many plugins and flexibility.
- This could be a great tool for our online teachers or teachers of blended classes to provide "office hours" out of school time for students to ask questions etc.

- Online program to create mind maps and flow charts. Identical to Inspiration but documents can be collaborated on and users can do them online without purchasing the Inspiration program.

- Upload your lists, they can print them, the site reads the word to test them, writing practice with the words, they log in with the teacher name.
