Agenda/Notes

  • Workshops on Demand: 
    • Fill out the facilitator survey
    • Talk it up at a staff meeting
    • Send the link to the facilitator survey to any people on your staff you could see facilitating one of these workshops.

  • TRA discussion:
    • Who needs to train them?
    • When can it happen?
    • It is not currently happening.
    • Jeanine, Dave, and Ron will sit down and discuss this dilemna and try to come up with a solution.
    • But for now they can feel free to contact Ron, Dave, or Patsy for any assistance with their job.  If they have ideas for what is needed that would be great feedback also, funnel this through Ron.

  • Transition to Panther
    • TRA should be installing this on all capable machines.
    • If they need assistance with the procedure please try to guide them. 
    • If they need additional guidance have them contact Ron or Dave.

  • Transition to new email
    • When you transition somebody to the new system email Patsy to turn on forwarding. 
    • Your building should find a consistent program to use for email.
    • If you use the web version, the addresses will be "populated" with the district addresses this fall.
    • You should change the layout of the webmail when you first login by clicking on settings.. Ron recommends "Old Webmail layout"
    • Mail, Entourage, and Webmail will be the supported mail clients after Sept 30, 2004.

  • TRT training dates for 2004 - 2005 are:
    • October 12
    • December 14
    • February 8
    • March 29
    • May 24

  • Here are all the specifics so far:
    • All training's will be in the LGI at WHS.
    • 8:00 - 4:-00 with an hour lunch(flexible, might order in)
    • Clock hours will be available.
    • Bring your laptop
    • Bring your power cord for your laptop
    • Bring a “Tech Buddy” from your Building(I will let you know when)

  • TRT Articulation Meeting Dates:
    • September 7
    • October 28
    • November 9
    • January 25
    • March 22
    • May 17

  • Please get me a list of things you need to be trained on and rank them as far as their importance. Examples: Easy Grade Pro? Dreamweaver? Contribute? Easy Grade and Palm? Maintaining a faculty page? OS X? Powerpoint? Keynote? What do y’all need for next year, as far as you can tell?

  • Please let me know how I can best support your role as a technology coach in your building.

  • I will be sending you link in email for you to evaluate me and my position.
