Introduction of two new Macromedia Educational Leaders.

Ron explained the program and how Gary and he got involved.  The benefit for the WSD would be trainings and expertise using the Macromedia products.  Ron demonstrated a technology called Breeze that could be used by Gary and himself to deliver training presentations via the internet.

We discussed the standards the the feds and state have on teachers and decided that our district should adopt the same standards for our teachers.  So from that we had to discuss ongoing assessment of the teachers in our district.

We decided to use the PILOT survey again this year and to present this to our building staffs as a way to self evaluate and reflect upon their own use of technology.  Then we as a district can look at trends in the data to drive our professional development for the certificated and classified staff.

Adreinne Nestor presented the district assessment spreadsheet that she created for the 3-8 teachers in reading and writing.  Since this is  way to track data using technology the TRTs are expected to be able to support this effort by the staffs in their buildings.  You can find it posted on prodev in the Assessment Data Files Folder.

Jeanine came and we discussed the PILOT survey and her support in making sure that each building has a LIT morning to do the survey.
